We believe that we should concentrate on
developing and bettering technology that is fundamental to a
civilized humanitarian society: agriculture, water purification,
cooking, housing, clothing, plumbing, waste disposal/recycling,
electricity/power, transportation, communication, resource
management, assistive technology, etc.
Technology that is one millionth as
advanced as what we put in a cell phone can help a blind person 'see'
there environment using there remaining senses. Why don't we use
this technology for such a goal? It seems much of our
technological progress is geared towards entertainment, and not
towards humanitarianism because entertainment seems to be what people
pay for. If we could shift our goals back to the development of
technologies that help people live happy health lives our world would
be a much more beautiful place to live in.
Corporations, Industries, and big
businesses are the major suppliers of products and goods around the
world—but when an industry is profit driven it often loses sight of
what consumers really want. We believe that the development of the
products and services we use in everyday life should be consumer
driven not profit driven. There is only one way this can happen in a
society: Consumer-based product development and production. It is our
aim to teach people to find alternative solutions to those offered in
the commercial world, and to create their own products from designing
their own clothes to building and testing prototypes that can be
developed into products that could benefit the rest of the
world.
